MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: September 12, 2011
Present: Stephen Enoch, Robert Annelli, Peter Kolodziej, and John Makuc
Also present: Eric Martin from Gould Farm
The meeting began at 3:30pm
1. The minutes from 8.1.11 were approved as written.
2. Eric Martin, wastewater operator from Gould Farm came in to present plans to abandon 2 septic systems on Rawson Brook Way and hooking them into the existing sewer system through a pump station. Stephen Enoch is the backup operator for the system and therefore recused himself. Peter stated that because they are doing modifications DEP will have to review the plans in addition to the Board. Eric will bring in the application and fee later this week.
3. The Board discussed the violation letter from the Building Department to Kutsher’s Sports Academy and discussed how they can help prevent this repeated mistake from happening again. The Board was very disappointed that the same types of mistakes continue to happen there. The Board discussed the option of renewing permits for KSA for a 3 month time period and that an inspection would be required each time the permit was to be renewed or to put them on “probation”. The Board also discussed assessing KSA additional fees for any additional inspections by the Board above the one yearly camp inspection. The Board asked M. Noe to invite Mark White in to discuss the continuing permitting issues they have and to outline the process for future permits through the Board of Health. The Board also felt that the Building Inspector should be present for that meeting as well.
4. The Board agreed to change the local installer’s permit application to state that a copy of a current BCBOHA installer’s permit or proof of comparable continuing education credit must be shown to receive a Monterey Installer’s Permit.
5. The next Board of Health meeting will be on Monday, October 3rd at 3:30, the meeting for the 26th has been cancelled.
The meeting adjourned at 4:15pm
