MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

Present: John Makuc, Robert Annelli and Peter Kolodziej
Also Present for Parts of the Meeting: Mike Parsons, Don Bernard, Shaun Tucker and John Martin
The meeting began at 3:45pm
1. Peter Kolodziej reviewed a septic plan submitted for 32 Broderick Rd. The profile of the septic system is still not clear on what the engineer has designed in place of a retaining wall. Mike Parsons and his associate, Mark were present to clarify items in the profile noted on the septic plans. Once the installer’s signature on the application and proof that the installer has attended and passed the drip rite systems training, the permit can be issued. (Board members were not present for this discussion). Shaun Tucker, Installer did come in during the meeting and provided the training certificate and signed the septic application.
2. The minutes from 6.1.09 were approved as written.
3. Mail was reviewed.
4. The meeting schedule for July will be: July 6th and 27th.
5. Camp and food service permits were conditionally issued to Café Services, Kutshers Sports Academy and the Jerry Weil Tennis Camp to be held at Kutshers. The condition being that the main lodge can not be used until a Certificate of Inspection has been issued by the Building Commissioner. As of today a Certificate of Inspection has not been issued.
6. Don Bernard came in to get Board signatures to record the deed restriction at the Registry showing the approved easement for a shared septic system with Kutshers Sports Academy.
7. John Martin of 25 Sylvan Rd came in to discuss a beaver issue near his home in addition to a well contamination issue at his home. Peter Kolodziej has made a site visit; the well is a dug well and he has recommended that a new well be drilled. Mr. Martin was provided the information necessary to find a beaver solution as well as the process on getting a new well drilled.
