MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

The meeting began at 3:46pm
· Marshall White of White Engineering came in to discuss a property off of Steven’s Lake owned by Wallach and Kaye. Title 5 was done and plans were designed for a 6-bedroom house with a flow for 8. Owners would like to put an addition on their house.
· Marshall White of White Engineering came in about the Kamenstein property and brought in plans with additional perc and test pits and the reserve area was modified as the board requested. There were additional changes made after having met with the Conservation Commission under the WPA and SMA. The board approved the plans and will issue the permits after all documentation is received back from DEP.
· Beaver Permit Application submitted by Dale Duryea for Roger Tryon: Peter did a site visit on Friday and initially determined it was not an emergency situation although his land is being flooded. Dale wants to be able to use a specific type of trap that kills the beaver in the water vs. taking them out of the water and then killing them and that’s why they’ve applied for a permit. As of November you can trap without a Board of Health permit but you can’t use those traps. A permit will be issued to trap permit effective immediately and valid for 10 days, and extension for 10 days can be applied for twice.
