MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

Present: John Makuc, Peter Kolodziej, Stephen Enoch, Robert Annelli, Amy Carey from the BCBOHA, and Chief Gareth Backhaus
The meeting began at 3:40pm
· Approved 8/21/06 minutes as revised and 9/18/06 minutes as written
· Reviewed mail
· Amy Carey from the BCBOHA came to discuss the current Emergency Management Plan for Berkshire County
o Public Health Emergency Preparedness Plan “hit list” reviewed
o Checklist from last year reviewed and what still needs to be done
o Emergency Manager, Gareth Backhaus is against moving the dispensing site for Monterey from the Elementary School in Gt. Barrington to a site in Monterey. Chief Backhaus would like to stay under the Regional Plan that is already in place and approved.
o Public Health All Hazards Plan is regionally in place
o New warrant article has to be put on next year’s town meeting warrant
