BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: December 19, 2005
Present: Stephen Enoch, John Makuc, Melissa Noe (clerk), Peter Kolodziej, Robert Annelli
The meeting began at 3:45pm
· Discussed the proposed Title 5 change regarding offices/bedrooms. If you have a small business whose only employees reside in the home, an office will not be viewed as a bedroom.
· Discussed the emergency dispensing site and the guide from the state for determining the suitability of a site. Peter suggested using Gould Farm as an ideal site if they are amenable to the idea. Next step is to sit down with the Select Board and discuss the options.
· Reviewed mail.
· Approved minutes from 12/5/05
· Discussed the options regarding property on Sylvan Rd and Board of Health violation and non-response to first letter. Peter is going to speak with the Building Inspector about filing a complaint.
· Discussed latest request from Dr. Germain to have the BOH consider a shared system with his mother’s property. The Board feels that this is not an alternative and would not comply with the Title 5 regulations for new construction.
· The board discussed the Animal Control Officer position. The Police Chief would like the board’s support in finding someone to appoint to the position and would like the board to contact the person Sandisfield is using as a potential candidate. This is becoming too much for the Police department to handle in addition to their duties. Peter recommended finding someone who is already ACO certified or is willing to go through the ACO training.
