BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: September 19, 2005
Members Present: Stephen Enoch, Peter Kolodziej, John Makuc, Melissa Noe (clerk), Robert Annelli
Also present: Shane Oates of Oates Construction
The meeting began at 3:40pm
I. Shane Oates came to the Board to discuss why he can’t get an Installer’s Permit from Monterey due to the fact he doesn’t have certification through the Berkshire County Board of Health Association when he can in surrounding towns (some towns do not require this). He is signed up for the course to take place later this year. Robert Annelli vouched for him and the designer said he would certify the site. Mr. Oates will need to submit a copy of his CT certification and info from the other towns and then an installer’s permit will be issued.
II. Robert Annelli came to ask some questions regarding the All Boards presentation given last month relating to regulations.
III. Discussed John Gurlac’s upcoming application for installer’s permit. He is on the certified contractor’s list, he has not taken the last course but is signed up for an upcoming seminar that will honor that certification.
IV. Ahye: The board reviewed new site plans sent. A decision needs to be made with regards to Wilkinson Excavating doing work with out applying for a permit first.
V. Reviewed Robert Annelli’s proposal to make changes to the current Board of Health guidelines for obtaining a permit with regards to setback. Public notice was written and will be sent to the paper to be printed.
VI. Memo to be sent to all boards regarding new policy regarding plans submitted to BOH that a copy will be sent to the Building Inspector.
