BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: September 12, 2005
Members Present: Stephen Enoch, Peter Kolodziej, John Makuc, Melissa Noe (clerk), Robert Annelli
The meeting began at 3:45pm
I. Peter met with Don Torrico regarding procedures for anything the board approves. It was determined to just make a copy for Don.
II. A complaint came in about property on Sylvan Rd about a tree that came down and crushed the roof and has been there for some time.
III. Head’s up on a property on Tyringham Rd with a shared driveway and some small cottages, someone bought it and has some questions about it and the variance that was approved as well as the water supply issue.
IV. A couple of Title V inspections came in that failed or conditionally passed and letters need to be sent out to the owners.
V. The licensing of Massage Therapists was discussed and the possibility of adapting the regulations for licensing.
VI. BCBOHA Dinner Meeting attendance discussed.
VII. Cindy Belair, the Animal Control Officer in Lee has been in contact with the Chief of Police here and the Select Board regarding being an on-call or backup person for Monterey.
VIII. Discussed the possibility of making changes from the proposals made at the last meeting by Robert Annelli. This will be reviewed at the next meeting on September 12, 2005 and if changes need to be made then a Public Meeting will be scheduled for October 3, 2005 at 7pm.
IX. Wednesday September 14, 2005 there will be a mock drill at the firehouse. Questions about who has the authority to quarantine someone who refuses to follow the emergency protocols. The Board of Health is the authority in this manner and can designate people such as the police to enforce. Peter will get the quarantine regulations to the Board of Health.
