Finance Board Meeting– November 10, 2016
Meeting Began at 4:10 p.m.

RE: FY 18 Budget Process
- The Board discussed a new budget request form submitted today by Willie Morales, the new Town Administrator. The Board voted to accept this form. They then prepared the letter that will go with the new budget request form. There will be an all Boards meeting with the Finance Board, Select Board all Department Heads and Willie Morales on Monday, November 21st at 4:00 p.m. and the new forms will be discussed at that time. These forms will be adapted accordingly to reflect each department’s needs.
- The Board discussed having Anteris come to Monterey to discuss the IT needs of the town.
- The Board discussed a letter that will be emailed to the Select Board regarding the use of public funds for the Broadband network. The original vote in the Town was based on joining a regional consortium, not on the Town owning a network themselves. The Board recommends not using public funds. Furthermore, the Board recommends the Select Board pursue an RFP requiring private funding. The Board voted to send this letter.
- The Board discussed the Town’s health insurance coverage policies and recommends reviewing the entire package this year.
