Insurance:
The committee is going to request that all the towns insurance policies be reviewed.
We also discussed that our current ins. agent meet with the committee and Pat Mielke for this review .
Salt Shed :
We met with Maynard to review the various options of financing the proposed Salt Shed to be constructed.
Maynard pesented us with 3 option schedule available from a Mass. state agency. Available are 2 five year pay options and 3rd
10 year pay plan. We discussed meeting with Pat Mielke ( Town Treas. ) to investigate Bank Municipal financing.
We also discussed funding some of the purchase up front from Stabilization Fund and financing the remainder.
Highway Department:
We reviewed all of the line items of this budget request with Maynard.
The request included a salary increase of 3%. At this time we are considering putting a hold on all town wage increases.
We discussed the town revenue from the transfer station and the various parts that make up MGI’s contract.
Special Article: The purchase of a Ford 550 truck to replace the 2000 550 - We have not yet recomended a payment plan- financing
use of stabilization funds or a combanation of the two.
