Monterey Cultural Council Minutes for 6/29/16
Present: Roz, Steve, Fiona, and Laura
The Council purchased three canopy pop up tents from Dick’s Sporting Goods with Town Funds, to be used at outdoor events such as the Monterey Farmer’s Market. A grommet banner will also be purchased to be put up on tent to say “Farmer’s Market at the Monterey Community Center.”
Group discussed having the Monterey Farmer’s Market Saturday, August 20th with a craft fair. The second homeowner’s meeting is also on this date. Fiona to talk with Hannah and find out if this date works for a farmer’s market.
Group also discussed going to the Community Center’s next monthly meeting to work together on creating local events. Fiona to reach out to the center.
Fiona to get reimbursed for items purchased to help start and set up Monterey Farmer’s Market.
A new sandwich board sign was also discussed. Fiona to reach out to Kit.
