Cultural Council Minutes 10/26/15

Business:
1) 3 artists have not responded to their acceptance for their grant.
A letter will be sent out to any artist who has not responded by the expected time. The letter will state that their opportunity for a grant has expired and the artist will have to reapply for the following year.
2) Council discussed how to go about getting more people involved in the cultural council. The current members will reach out to possible members.
3) Fiona made an appeal for someone to take over the chairperson position. At the moment no one volunteered.
4) Steve reported that there is approximately $2,000 of state money that has not been spent. State money can be rolled over into new year.
5) 33 applications for grant money was received. The deadline was October 15. The committee categorized all applications into town, schools, and other.
We will continue reviewing applications at our next committee meeting.
