I. The committee discussed better ways to communicate. All agreed on the following:
- One email, the week before reminding all members date and time of meeting.
- Using social media to communicate would be a worthwhile tool.
- We need a tech person to help complete the web site for the council. Steve said he would ask Teri C. if she is available to do the work. Pat will ask Dayne.
- The goal of the website is to communicate all events on a master calendar.
II. Cultural Council jobs: Treasurer- Steve
Publicity-Pat
Grant Coordinator- Laura
Calendar- Cheryl
Minute Recorder- weekly rotation
Events Coordinator- rotation
III. Maker’s Tour:
a) Possible dates; Saturday before Mother’s Day
Mid-Summer
October 1, 2016
b) Pat wrote a letter to be distributed to artists, to get input on suggested dates.
c) Fiona waiting for a complete list of artists from Wendy Jensen.
IV. Treasurer Report:
a) cultural council has $2,929.06
b) $1,000 in state money.
V. Discussed custom party to be held on October 30.
Pat will find out if firehouse is available

VI. Grants: Deadline for grants is October 15
Negative decision is December 15
Grants acceptance is January 15
