Monterey Cultural Council Minutes for December 1, 2014
Meeting called to order at 7 pm at the Monterey Meeting House.
Council Members present: Wendy Jensen, Roz Halberstadter, Pat Salomon, Fiona De Ris, Susan Johnson, Steven Weisz
Old Business:
-Studio Tour:
The Studio Tour is scheduled for this Saturday between the hours of 10 & 4pm.
As of the meeting, there are 16 tour stops & 22 Artists.
There will be an attempt to have a post made on the town website.
Maps will be available in the General Store, Roadside and the Library, in addition to the Studios.
The HARVEST BARN will be joining the tour with crafts and food.
There will be a set-up event at Roadside from 4-6 on Friday for artists without studios wishing to present work.
New Business:
-The process of reviewing grant applications for this year, continued. Prior to that, there was a brief discussion about “funding priorities” and its impact on the process of approval, disapproval and partial funding of grant requests.
-Meeting adjourned at 9:30 pm.
The next meeting date: Monday, December 8 at 7 pm at the Library.
