Monterey Cultural Council Minutes for November 15, 2012
Meeting called to order at 4pm.
Council Members present: Lynne Leavitt (Chair), Diana Deacon Ritter, Pat Salomon, Kit Patten , Susan Johnson, Roz Halberstaeder, Wendy Jensen
Old Business:
-Studio Tour update from Wendy Jensen. Postcards and posters were picked up at the printers today. CC will distribute. Many, many thanks to Maureen Banner for designing the postcard and poster!
-Pat Salomon has been sending out press releases and other publicity to our list of contacts.
-The map should be available online after this weekend. The printed map and brochure will be available in a week or so.
-We will have CC members sitting at the Roadside (Roz: 10-12, Susan 12-2) and the General Store (Lynne: 10-12, Diana 12-2)
New Business:
-LCC Grants were discussed and amounts granted was preliminarily decided upon. A total of $6000.00 would be awarded this year. At the next meeting we will send out the rejection letters. Diana will photocopy and have them ready for us.
-The future of the Monterey Local Cultural Council was discussed. Lynne needs a co-chair and others in the group need to take on more responsibility, ie, treasurer, secretary, etc.
