Monterey Cultural Council Minutes for November 1, 2012
Meeting called to order at 4pm.
Council Members present: Lynne Leavitt (Chair), Diana Deacon Ritter, Kit Patten, Pat Salomon, Fiona De Ris , Susan Johnson, Wendy Jensen
Old Business:
-Kathryn Roberts reported on the songwriting workshop by Robin O’Herin. Approximately 15 enthusiastic participants were in attendance. Next and final workshop will be Sunday, Nov. 5th.
-Wendy Jensen reported on the Monterey Makers Studio Tour updates. Maureen Banner put an article and an ad in the November Monterey News. Pat Salomon looked into the Rogovoy report for a possible place to advertise. It was decided to spend $75 for the Berkshire Weekend Ad for the weekend before the Studio Tour. Pat will handle this. Pat will also handle other publicity with newspapers and such. Susan Johnson and Diana Ritter offered to deliver the number signs to the Studio stops on Friday before the Tour. Stephen Moore will make some new signs to help at road crossings, Wendy said. Wendy also noted that we have about 15 stops on the tour. Maps will be available at the Library, Roadside and hopefully the General Store as well as at each venue. Wendy will contact Scott
at the General Store. It was decided to get postcards printed as a means of getting the word out. Wendy will do this.
New Business:
LCC Grants were read and discussed with a preliminary decision for each. Decisions must be made for rejection letters to go out by Dec. 30. An extra meeting date, December 6th at 4pm, was set to handle the applications and decisions.
Meeting adjourned at 6:00pm. Next meeting date: November 15, 2012
