Topics discussed included:
1. Pat and John will meet, (with Maureen we hope), in a week or so to go over publicity questions, procedures and recommendations for making the process as smooth and efficient as possible. The notifications to some of the venues we use need special attention as they require specific time frames, and will not accept E-mails, must be phoned in, etc, etc.
2. Pat has researched the ways that the Otis Council uses to help with advance notice of their coming events . They (and I think with the Sandisfield Council) prepare a list of all the scheduled programs, which can be circulated prior to the events and also includes flyers for each of the events, which can be made available during a current event and also made available at other locations in the area. These notices include the date, time, location etc so that there is plenty of advance notice in the community. We all agreed that this is good event management and that we should do this. Further discussion, ideas and comment to be present at the April meeting.
3. All members should be thinking about potential programs we might consider for sponsorship. John will get full information as to the amount of money currently available (if any) and also the amount that will be available as of July 1, the beginning of the new fiscal year. This will give us a better idea as to what can be planned for spring events and what can be done later.
