Meeting called to order at 4pm. Present:John Heffernan, Susan Johnson, Maureen Banner, Wendy Jensen, Kit Patten, Diana Walter, Roz Halberstadter, Laury Epstein, and Lynne Leavitt.
Monterberry Festival attendance estimate: 160-200 people, all strawberry shortcake eaten, and every enjoyed it. Future events upstairs will be monitored by Cult. Council when young children are present.
Future events:
1. Sat. July 10 7pm. Liz Queller concert at Meeting House. Publicity and refreshments are being covered by Maureen and Kit. Set up will take place earlier. Last year attendance was around 40 people.
2. Fri July 16 6-8pm. Pastel Workshop with Greg Maichik: (Maximum 15 people) Several have already signed up. John and Maureen will help with setup.
3. Sat...Two weekends in July: Poetry workshop with Debra Barnhart at Monterey General Store. There will be a $20 charge for both weekends in addition to the grant from MCC. A public reading will follow this. Poetry classes: July 10 and 17th 3-5pm Charge for both: $20.00 Free reading of class work: July 18th 2pm Monterey General Store
4. Sat, August 21 at 1pm, John Root talk on mushrooms in Meetinghouse. Set up at noon with John, Maureen, and Lynne.
*** Future use of utensils will be biodegradable and can be recycled.
Discussion about Sandisfield tickets at library. Mark Makuc has been most cooperative posting signs, etc. However, waiting for future show passes to be returned doesn't reserve spaces in the theatre, which means that in sold out performances, they must call ahead. It must be worked out with library and box office.
