CONSERVATION COMMISSION

Present: Claudia Crane, Marion Simon and Mark Little
The meeting convened at 6:00p.m.
Close – 10 Laurel Banks – RDA - renovate and construct addition to existing residence (M. Little is the project manager)
Peter Close was present to discuss the project details. Plans were reviewed as well as an email from DEP with regards to a flood plain. The Commission approved the project as a N3 with the following conditions: standard erosion control measures w/site inspection prior to construction/after erosion control measures and periodic site visits.
Green – Sylvan Rd – RDA – remove existing rotted timber retaining wall at shore and replace with rocks (M. Little is the project manager)
This hearing was continued to the February meeting as no one was present to review the details of the project.
For Discussion:
- Mail was reviewed.
- The Commission discussed raising the current filing fees from $80 to $100. The Commission unanimously agreed, this change will go into effect immediately.
- The Commission discussed the hiring of Dave Dempsey as the Conservation Agent which will be paid for out of the Conservation Wetlands Revolving Fund. He will be paid $35/hour and he will be available for approximately 10 hours a month.
