CONSERVATION COMMISSION

The meeting convened at 6:00p.m.
Steiner – SMA17-01 Request for Certificate of Compliance
Chris Blair representative for the Steiner’s came in to request a certificate of compliance for their Scenic Mountains Act project. The Commission unanimously granted the certificate.
58 & 73 Chestnut Hill Rd – SMA & WPA NOI - to drill a new public water supply well, construct a gravel access road and install utility corridor including water, pressure sewer, fire protection, gas and electric utility lines (M. Little is the project manager)
Terry Hensley, Robert Stevens and Mike Kulig were all present to continue the review of these hearings continued from last month. Changes made from last month were reviewed. The Commission approved the projects as submitted with the changes discussed today with the condition that work in the BVW and intermittent stream crossing cannot be done until spring.
Close – RDA – 10 Laurel Banks – dig trench to accommodate pipe for electric & phone lines (C. Crane is the project manager)
Peter Close was present to answer questions with regards to his request for a determination of applicability. The Commission approved the project as submitted as a N3 with the condition that silt fence and hay bales are to be installed for the duration of the project.
For Discussion:
- Mail was reviewed.
- Minutes from 10/10/17 were approved as written.
- Steve Snyder of Gould Farm came in to request a determination on a project review to install a grinder pump. The Commission determined that as submitted it is outside the jurisdiction of the Conservation Commission.
