The meeting convened at 6:00p.m.
40 Sylvan LLC – NOI – to reconstruct existing dwelling and remove trees (D. Dempsey is the project manager)
This hearing was continued from last month. Chris Tryon of Berkshire Geo-Technologies was present to review the project and present some minor changes to the plan. DEP and Natural Heritage have submitted their comments. The project was approved with the changes submitted. The applicant was asked to voluntarily plant some sort of vegetation to minimize storm water runoff.
Lee – 16 Point Rd – to remove trees (D. Lynch is the project manager)
Hannah White of Creative Building Solutions was present to review the project details. The project was approved as a N3 subject to replanting of three native species canopy trees near where the three waterfront trees are being removed.
For Discussion:
- Mail was reviewed which included a letter and photographs from the Steven’s Lake Homeowner’s Assoc to a property owner that committed a violation. The Commission discussed contacting or issuing an enforcement order to the property owner to attend the September 13th meeting.
- Minutes from 7/12/16 were approved as written.
- Brent White of White Engineering came in to informally discuss a project at 24 Lakeside Terrace. Nathaniel Rundle of Gould Farm came in to talk about their interest in bringing fiber up to their building which will require some trenching. He came to informally discuss his plans and what they would need to do.
- Mike Mielke came in at the Commission’s request to discuss 55 Eaton Rd. as Dennis had concerns about the work that has been done to date. Mike has submitted a RDA for the Sept. meeting for vista pruning. Discussion also ensued about some trees that were taken down that may have been in the Scenic Mountain Act region. A landscape plan for the placement of small trees and/or bushes, of sizes adequate to restore lost canopy will be submitted to the Commission.
