CONSERVATION COMMISSION

Present: Timothy Lovett, David Dempsey, Pat Edelstein and Dennis Lynch
The meeting convened at 6:00p.m.
Hucknall – 2 Point Rd – RDA – Build a screen porch on an existing deck (Lovett and Edelstein are the project manager)
Jay Feldman was present to review the project details. Tim and Pat both made a site visit. The project has received approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals. The project was approved as a N3 with the following condition: install silt fence before starting work.
Sloane – 16 Point Rd – NOI – reconstruct existing house and dock, expand parking area, upgrade septic and remove trees (Lynch is the project manager)
Kelly and Chris Tryon of Berkshire Geo-Technologies were present to review the project details.~ Kelly noted that the NOI is actually for Debbie and Stan Lee who are the proposed buyers of the property but the owners of the property are the Sloane’s.~ A DEP file number has yet to be assigned and no comments have been received from the Natural Heritage.~ The Commission requested that in the meantime while waiting for the filing number and Natural Heritage that the new owners be asked if they in an effort to protect the water quality of Lake Garfield~would be willing to construct the pier out of a another material rather than cca treated lumber.~ This hearing will be continued.
