The hearing opened at 6:10 p.m. and was continued to the August 9, 2004 regularly-scheduled meeting.

Lake Buel Public Access Boat Launch Facility                            Map 17, Lot 40

The Commission reviewed the proposed plans for storm water quality improvements to the existing Lake Buel Public Access Boat Ramp Facility.  The proposed improvements include the installation of two deep sump catch basins which will direct runoff into a 7200 gallon water quality inlet.  It was indicated annual cleaning of these basins would be necessary, and that no service was lined up for this task at present.  It was further indicated construction would commence in the fall of 04.  The Commission approved the plans as submitted with the following conditions:  1) Provide the Conservation Commission with current drawings that remove the “loam and seed” detail from same; 2) Notify the Project Manager at least 48 hours prior to installation of the silt fencing and project.

Sutton, Charles – Beartown Mountain Road                        Map 4, Lot 15B

Applicant wishes to construction a gravel driveway to access a single-family dwelling site.  A portion of the drdiveway is within the riverfront area and will cross bordering vegetated wetlands. A letter was written to Mr. Sutton asking him to install hay bales in order to avoid erosion.  The hearing was continued to the August 9, 2004  Meeting.

Two new plans were submitted:  1) plan showing water elevations; 2) location of trees
The Commission reviewed the proposed plans for an upgrade to the Camps existing substandard septic system to a tight tank and decided the only work in the flood plain is the installation of the well.  The Commission approved the project as submitted and imposed the following conditions on the project:  1) the Project Manager shall be notified at least 48 hours in advance of commencement of the placement of silt fencing and project; 2) In plans on file, the Revision of June 24, 2004 shall be cited.  The hearing closed at 7:15 p.m.

The Hearing was adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
