Assessor Meeting Minutes 7/11/15

Meeting began at: 10:50 a.m.

Members Present:

Stanley Ross, Chairman  
Robert Lazzarini, Board Member
Donald Clawson, Assessor
        Linda Hamill, Clerk

Also Present:  Raymond Tryon
        

1.  The Board discussed the reviewed changes of waterfront property and navigable waterway values.  The Board recommends removing the charge for assessment to the properties where the navigable waterways are not an asset to the property value.  There are two parts to this discussion;

Part one:  changing our Policies and Standards to reflect the change just discussed and;

Part two:  changing these assessments on the property cards.

2.  The Board discussed how views are assessed on Monterey property and the different criteria the Board uses to determine if a view factor should be considered on a property.  These criteria are listed in the Board of Assessors Policies and Standards.  
3.  The Board votes to accept the changes to the Board of Assessors Policy and Standards.
