- The Board discussed land influence factors and modifiers. Property owners with conservation restrictions can receive the benefits of more than one of these restrictions. Chapter overrides all other restrictions. The Board discussed properties that should be annually filing for chapter restrictions. Bob referenced a property that is located in Monterey and a neighboring town and read supporting documents. Don questioned some of the wording in this document. Mr. Tryon asked about the location of the property and boundaries. A discussion followed about how this property is assessed. The conservation restriction is granted, the APR is secondary. The database indicates how the values are calculated. Following discussion, this property owner will be asked to file for the chapter
restriction annually. The property owner will receive the supporting documents along with this request.
The Board discussed two additional properties. The Board will have to wait for the spring thaw to be able to view one of these properties. Bob is researching a property that is located both in Monterey and in New Marlborough. This property is waterfront and a non-conforming lot and will be re-assessed accordingly.
- The Board discussed the possibility of including the Conservation Commission in some of these discussions. The Board decided that it may necessary when certain conditions apply.
