- The Board discussed some of the ways that a property is qualified. Robert Lazzarini has been working on a project that will make the classification of land more accurate. He began looking at the ways that properties are classified and how to make them clearly defined. He has looked at all classifications of property and is making recommendations for updates. This is a very time consuming project that consisted of studying all of the different classifications of property, including waterfront, conservation and the many other classifications in Monterey. This project will continue throughout the fall and winter and Bob will present his information to the Board as he moves along in his research. When finalized the information will be available on the town website.
- The re-valuation of the town continues. Don and Dwayne will meet together again this coming week to prepare for the state reviewer, Joe Barbieri. He is expected to come on September 22nd. All of the fundamental work has been completed and Don will just have to wait to see what the next requests for information will be.
- Don says that we do not have the money in our budget at this time to purchase a duplex unit for our printer. The cost of the unit is $300. Stan and Bob really want him to order this and will discuss this purchase with Select Board.
