- The Board discussed the flood plain in the Lake Buel area. Robert Lazzarini has been studying the FEMA generated flood plain maps for the land around Lake Buel. He is concerned that these maps are inaccurate and wants the Board to devise a system for an adjustment to the land values of any properties that flood. The State now gives the Assessors the authorization to immediately give an adjustment to a property that has just had a flood. Don Clawson will speak to his contact at DOR about this issue to find out what their rules are on recently flooded land. The Board will then consider how they will proceed on the Lake Buel flood plain.
- The Board has agreed that there should be an official town map. Meaning that the Business District will be drawn in correctly showing a clear line with a clear boundary. The Board agrees that this is a good idea. The map must be clearly defined including properties which are clearly in two different districts.
