- The Board discussed the possibility of purchasing a duplex unit for the new office laser printer. This unit will allow for printing on both sides of the paper. The cost for this unit is $275.00. The purchase has been approved.
- The Board discussed how the tax rate was moving along. Don Clawson is working very closely with the Bureau of Accounts along with the Accountant. Work on the tax rate cannot move forward until the Accountant coordinates with the Treasurer and Tax Collector.
- The Board discussed the business personal property assessments for FY15. Don Clawson has had a long conversation with our DOR representative. The DOR is discussing the possibility of dropping the homeowner personal property tax and may concentrate on business personal property tax in the future. In the meanwhile, Don has printed the form of list for businesses and is working on personal property forms for homeowners. We will be sending out these forms on or about January 1, 2014. We will also be sending out all of the exemption forms with a note asking homeowners to fill out forms as soon as possible. We will then be able to get all of this work finished early in the year.
- Old and new business. The Board continued the discussion of the GPS system. The Board decided to use the GPS system that will be imbedded in the new AssessPro software when it becomes available. Assessors will request special Town Meeting to request funding for this system when the new software is ready.
