MONTEREY BOARD OF ASSESSORS
TOWN HALL, MONTEREY
Saturday June 17, ’06
Meeting called to order by Stan Ross. Ross, Gauthier, Lazzarini Clawson and Hamil were present.
Entry into homes when owner not present: Bob Gauthier reported that he had a recent conversation with a lawyer who maintained that the workmen in Downings house were his “agents” and that the assessors who ask for and receive their permission to enter were not trespassing. Nonetheless the Board reaffirmed its decision to only enter a house if the owner invites them in.
Town meeting with Cartographics: The Board set the following times and dates for the Town meetings with Cartographics representatives: Friday 7/14/06 – two meeting Midday and evening; Saturday 7/15/06 – one meeting in the morning.
2nd homeowners meeting on 6/24/6: The board tried to anticipate what questions the second home owners might ask.
