9:30 – 9:45am: Meet with Town Clerk
* Set/review posted office hours with town clerk (20 per week)
* Waiting on response from Town Counsel on part time v full time definitions and prorating paid time off
9:45am – end of meeting:
- Approve 7.23.12 minutes
- Review/sign decision on nuisance dog from Town Counsel
- Letter to Monterey News re: support of speed enforcement
- Discuss location for donated American flag
- Continue discussion of office key for Select Board Chair
- Memo to Treasurer requesting a “health benefits denial form” for new hires
- Sign payables warrants
- Review mail
- Annual appointments/reappointments
- Review any letters of interest received for the Tree Warden position
- Administrative items; write correspondence, review mail, review weekly employee reports, etc.
- Continue discussions on the creation/updating of the Employee Handbook/Personnel Policy (see updated copy that combines 1993 version and DRAFT of updates)

- Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 39 § 23C: Regulation of participation by public in open meetings. No person shall address a public meeting of a governmental body without permission of the presiding officer at such meeting, and all persons shall, at the request of such presiding officer, be silent. If, after warning from the presiding officer, a person persists in disorderly behavior, said officer may order him/her to withdraw from the meeting, and, if he/she does not withdraw, may order a constable.
