Open the Meeting:  The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.


Accept the Minutes:  A motion was made by Joe and seconded by Steve to accept the April 12, 2011 meeting minutes as corrected.  Motion passed unanimously.

OLD/NEW BUSINESS:
Chlorination Equipment ~ Craig is still finishing up on the unit installations, attention has shifted to other department activities.

Department Activity ~
Annual Statistical Report (ASR) ~ Good progress was made Tuesday morning, however a system glitch regarding the Cross Connection form has caused a set back, once DEP corrects the problem Craig will proceed to finish and electronically submit the report with attachments.

FY2011 4th Quarter Bills ~ bills dated April 20 due payable May 20, 2011 were mailed today; they included the Consumer Confidence Report and a second notice April 1st rates have been slightly adjusted.  Dale will work with Vadar to address some remaining issues and why some accounts keep dropping out of the read list.

Leak Detection ~ Tom and Randy continued house to house leak detection and uncovered two more.

Water Line Repairs ~ replaced leaking service from main to curb stop at 30 Palmer Road.  41 Bethany Road was scheduled to be fixed Friday the 15th, however 8 Pease Avenue took priority.  The homeowner called the office advising he thought he had a leak, when investigated it could be heard at the four surrounding houses.  The town side of the service was replaced from the main to the curb stop.  The leaking service at 188 Palmer Road has been shut off and the house is being temporarily serviced from a neighbor’s home until repairs can be made.  Friday black top patching is scheduled to take place at 30 Palmer Road.

Future Water Line Repairs ~to date services on Stafford Road, Bethany Road, Wales Road, North Lane and Palmer Road are on the replacement list.

Road Projects ~ The Bethany Road paving project is expected to be done before Margaret Street, 5-7 services need to be addressed.  Both projects will take priority over the other replacements.

Town Office Sewer Repairs ~ are scheduled for tomorrow.


NEXT MEETING:  The next meeting has been set for Wednesday, May 4th at 6:30 p.m.

ADJOURN:  A motion was made by Steve and seconded by Joe to adjourn from open session to go into executive session at 6:45 p.m.  Motion passed unanimously.
