Open the Meeting: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
Accept the Minutes: A motion was made by Marty and seconded by Doug to accept the meeting minutes of December 5, 2007. Motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
S.R.F. Project Update ~Tata & Howard (T&H) is moving forward on the Ely Road Tank project design which in addition to the concrete tank will include a steel tank as an alternate tank material. Final plans need to be sent to Mike McGrath at the DEP for approval by the end of December. Craig has a sketch showing elevations of the two different tank types. Tree work and stumping is done at Bethany Road Well Pumping Station.
Palmer Bill / Letter ~ The response letter with regards to FY07 O&M Costs from Gerry Skowronek, the Supervisor of the Plant seems to be on the defensive side and doesn’t resolve any issues. Although the 4th Quarter bill for FY07 is being contested, payment for 1st Quarter portion of the estimated share of O&M costs for FY08 has been processed. Craig suggested responding after the Holidays in anticipation of being able to sit down and calmly resolve the outstanding issues. Interpretation of the agreement can be complicated especially with the changes Palmer has made to their departments. Steve suggests passing the questions by Legal Council before responding.
Town Meeting Articles/Projects ~ Monies have been transferred.
Laborer Position ~ The position has been posted within the Union, and will now be advertised in next week’s Palmer Journal.
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting has been set for Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.
ADJOURN: At 7:00 p.m., a motion was made by Doug and seconded by Marty to adjourn from open session to go into executive session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation and not return to open session. Motion passed unanimously.
