Minutes of October 7, 2013 Meeting
Members In attendance: Nicholas Beaudoin, Valarie Beaudoin, Leona Brahen, Bill Dominick, Leslie Duthie and Victoria Prior
The minutes of the September 10, 2013 meeting were reviewed and, after motion duly made by Ms. Duthie and seconded by Ms. Brahen, were approved,
Discussion of October 26, 2013 Planting
Ms. Beaudoin reviewed the planting that is scheduled for October 26, 2013. She indicated that once again First Church was the staging point for tree delivery and planting. Ms. Brahen confirmed that Brad Medeiros’ crews were confirmed and that she would be emailing additional details to him over the next several days.
Ms. Beaudoin also reported that a fruit basked had been delivered to the Water Department and that pizza had been delivered to the Highway Department to thank them for their assistance over the last year. It was reported that John Morrell was very happy with the positive press that had been generated by the recent plantings.
Financial Update
Ms. Beaudoin discussed several issues and a quick discussion of financial information was held. The Committee agreed that an in-depth financial review would be added to the agenda for February with the intent of reviewing both public and private monies that are available to the Committee.
Several bills were approved for payment and schedules were signed by Committee members.
Ms. Brahen reminded everyone that the Committee had voted at the last meeting to take a hiatus until February. She also reminded everyone that the Committee had voted to move its meetings to the Second Monday of each month. She indicated that the next meeting would be held on February 10, 2014.
After motion duly made and seconded, the meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
