Town Office/Police Facility Building Committee
Monday, December 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

Kurt Kaiser called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm
NEW BUSINESS:
MOTION made by Kurt Kaiser to accept the November 18, 2013 meeting minutes with the following change “CHANGE ORDER #1 … Baystate Elevator was under and …Ayotte and King was over …,.  Motion  seconded by David Beaudoin.  It was so VOTED.  
ARCHITECT UPDATE – Dave King
Co-ordinate grounding for the tower.  
The target date to order FF&E is around April to get the order in ahead of the school orders.

 Soil is being removed in three different phases.  1500 ton 1000 yards carried in contract $1,000.
Demo contractor owed $50,000 – we had more soil than needed – 72 yards of hot soil $24,000
Phase 3 – remove from peet – 1st clean, 3rd   
Materials stockpiled on site

ROUTINE BUSINESS:

MOTION by Reed Coles to authorize payment of bills in the total amount of $20,229.00. Jo Sauriol  seconded the motion and the vote was passed.  
NEW BUSINESS –
Reed Coles requested that the committee entertain the possibility that the Monson Arts Council use the fencing around the construction site to hang 4 foot panels of public art.  
MOTION by Jo Sauriol to have Bill Gallagher ask PDS if such an art display would be possible on the fence.   Peter Matrow seconded the motion and all voted in favor.

NEXT COMMITTEE MEETING will be Monday, January 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.

MOTION made by David Beaudoin to adjourn the meeting.  Reed Coles seconded the motion.   And it was so voted.

7:45 p.m. meeting adjourned.
