Town Office/Police Facility Building Committee
Monday, October 21, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

Members present:  Kurt Kaiser and Peter Matrow, co-chairs; Reed Coles, David Beaudoin; Jo Sauriol
Members absent: Dorothy Whitaker; Charles Kuss; Steve Lobik
Attendees:  Shane Nolan, OPM; Dan LaRoche, Town Planner; Deb Mahar, Finance Director; Bill Gallagher, on-site project manager
Kurt Kaiser called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm
NEW BUSINESS:
MOTION made by Reed Coles  to accept the  September 30, 2013 meeting minutes, seconded by Peter Matrow.  It was so VOTED.  
No architect update.
REPORT by Shane Nolan, OPM  -  
We are all set to mobilize, we know where the trailers will go and where the fences will be.  
Tile bids – Three bids were made. All were over the estimate of $100,000.  In the process of vetting the low bid.
Bill Gallagher of Daedelus, the on-site project manager has had one construction meeting with contractors so far.
The soil test results are in.  PSI tested about 31 grids of 20 by 20.  Contamination was found in about 3 of the grids or 90 cubic yards. Also there are about 950 cubic yards of other soil that will need to be removed from the site.   How to dispose of the soil and where to dispose will be discussed.
Gary Cromak of PDS will get some prices on the cost of putting the police communication tower on site..
Scott of Kaestle Boos presented selections for the Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) to the town department heads .

MOTION by Dave Beaudoin to authorize payment of bills in the total amount of $6,242.16. Peter Matrow seconded the motion and the vote was passed.  

NEXT COMMITTEE MEETING will be Monday, November 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

MOTION made by David Beaudoin to adjourn the meeting.  Jo Sauriol seconded the motion.   And it was so voted.

7:45 p.m. meeting adjourned.
