Reported by Architect Dave King, Kaestle Boos:
- Plans have the new building closer to the street with the height of the front door entrance being two feet higher than the sidewalk.
- The plans shown at the subcommittee meeting showed building with “bumped out” sections of building and brick front altered to add visual interest.
- Kurt Kaiser felt that this plan used too many different exterior substances.
- Dave Beaudoin suggested the possibility that the library addition is covered with faux granite. Dave King will research this product.
- The police communications antenna is presently to be situated behind the town hall/police facility. There is a microwave option offsite.
- Discussion about generator.
- All flooring material decisions have been made. There will be dropped ceilings throughout. Interior paint everywhere, with a chair rail in the police department and possibly in certain parts of town hall corridor. The town hall and police department will have separate air handlers. There will be air conditioning throughout. Thermostats will be in each department, at least. Lighting will have motion sensors. Plumbing will have water saver fixtures. Porcelain tile for entrance, vinyl (which looks like wood plank) will be in offices, ceramic tile in bathrooms.
Kaestle Boos is preparing finish boards; they will have three different schemes.
