Monson Cemetery Commission
Thursday, June 11, 2012


The monthly meeting of the Cemetery Commission opened at 6:05pm in the office at 32 Wilbraham Road. Commissioners present were: Jim Duggan, Jim Metzger.
OLD BUSINESS:
        Minutes of the April 5, 2012 and the May 3, 2012 meetings were presented, read and accepted.

NEW BUSINESS:
        Discussed the advertisement for the Superintendent’s position and were to post. Put in the Journal and on Craig’s list, Jim Metzger will do. Discussed potential times to interview candidates and discussed doing a Saturday morning, but will decide later.
        Discussed the wall bids that we received and the discrepancies in them. Gretchen will look into one bid that had some information missing and will seek them to provide same.
        We had talked several times about the rules and regulations and how some are antiquated and should be updated. We will begin the process of researching other cemetery rules and regs., and may hold off on starting until new superintendent is in place.
        Kyle was told to purchase materials that we needed before fiscal year ends.
        Main Street cemetery, update on fence and monuments that the Historical Commission was handing from a grant.
        Discussed the Norcross grant and that we would have to kick in some money to cover the costs of the software and training from Pontem, we would take balance out of perpetual care fund.

                Meeting was adjourned at 7:30pm
Next meeting is Thursday July 7, 2012, at 6pm.
