Monson Cemetery Commission

The monthly meeting of the Cemetery Commission opened at 6:07pm in the office at 32 Wilbraham Road. Commissioners present were: Jim Duggan and Al Wilcox. Chairman Shawn Connery was absent, personal reasons. Also present was Paul Lovell, Superintendent.
Minutes of the November 5, 2009 and the November 5, 2009 Executive Board meeting were read and approved as presented.
OLD BUSINESS:
Discussion on the replacement of the office door to help preserve the building and cut down on heating costs was discussed and in light of the budget cuts recently absorbed we decided to cancel the installation of the new door until a later date.
Currently the cleanups of all the cemetery grounds are being completed and equipment is being readied for the winter season.
Discussed the creation of a survey of local towns to see what the fees are for services provided to see if we are in line and what we could do to raise the fees without hurting our customers.
Next year’s budget request will be worked on and presented to the Commission for discussion.
NEW BUSINESS:
Commissioners signed sale of lots and bills.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:35pm
