Monson Cemetery Commission

The regular meeting of the Monson Cemetery Commissioners convened at 5:00 p.m. in the office at 32 Wilbraham Rd. In attendance were Albert Wilcox, Shawn Connery, Paul Lovell, Erin McCurry, and William Plante. David Martin was not present.
Mr. Wilcox made a motion to accept the meeting minutes of Dec. 6th. Mr. Connery seconded and it was so voted.
Old Business:
Mr. Lovell spoke with the Chief of Police and informed him of the trespassing, vandalism and destruction of grounds. The superintendent is perusing a quote for a split rail fence to secure the upper field with no trespassing signs. Trespass warrants will be pursued.
New Business:
Reserving burial lots- The superintendent will look into other town’s policies to possibly adopt.
Fence Damage-Superintendent contacted Lusty Welding and is awaiting a quote. Superintendent will also contact Historical Society awaiting input prior repair.
Assistant Superintendent-Commissioners drafted a letter of recommendation and will be submitted to the Union President and Town Selectmen. The Commissioners encouraged cross training with the Superintendent.
Clerk Hours- The Commissioner agreed to return the clerks hours to those previously established. Clerks’ hours are 15 hours a week. Mr. Connery made a motion and Mr. Wilcox seconded the motion.
Mr. Wilcox made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:35p.m. Mr. Connery seconded the motion.
