Wayne Yee, Beau Schneider and Joanna Sorreiro discussed the diagram for equipment placement at Bulky Day. All expressed concerns about traffic flow and access to homes on Thompson St. for residents. Claire Forgues, suggested that Evan Brassard, Town Administrator possibly could do a Code Red to those residents involved on Oct. 3rd. in order to gain access in and out of their homes between the hours of 7a.m. and 2p.m. Also, Beau Schneider to contact John Morrell at the Highway dept. about barricades across the bottom of Thompson St., who’s responsibility is to set this up and also the lighted sign placed on Main St. Beau Schneider mentioned that he could be at Hillside School on Friday to help direct placement of equipment. Tentatively areas can be spray painted and marked for easier placement. Claire Forgues to contact
vendors and obtain drop off times of equipment. A copy of the map that Wayne Yee produced of the area to be forwarded to both Steve Kozloski and Evan Brassard for planning purposes. With the new location, the pop-up tent can be put up the night before and the entrance and exit can be closed off. With the use of a laptop this year, an extension cord will have to be kept handy for power, should it be needed. Some kind of signage should be at the entrance of Quarry Hill to advise residents of the changed venue. Board members reviewed our signs in the stockroom and they should be adequate. The Board was in agreement that we will need at least two officers for traffic control and assistance in any problems that may arise. Beau Schneider to make the arrangements with both Woodbine and Adams for refreshments and lunch. The banner has been adjusted by Hampden Sign and been delivered to Rodney Beaulieu for installation over Main St.
There are two outstanding floor drain locations and a second notice was sent to both on Aug. 21st, 2015. Beau Schneider made motion to send an amended letter, seconded by Joanna Sorreiro, certified mail to both EWS and APMI Asphalt Paving stating that they have until Oct. 15th to have the drains cleaned and paperwork submitted to the Board before fines could be imposed. Claire to type letters, Beau Schneider to sign and they are to be mailed both US mail and certified mail on Sept. 24th, 2015.
Claire Forgues advised the Board that the new printer has been installed and the bill from Post Computers to be forwarded to the Hampden County Health Coalition.
