The Board discussed briefly the Health Fair which was postponed last week. The Board will further discuss this topic at their next meeting.
The Board discussed Bulky Day which will be held on October 2nd. Ms. Klick stated that she would rather not change the traffic flow pattern on Bulky Day. Mr. Allard suggested walking the proposed change on Bulky Day and check out the flow pattern. Ms. Klick felt that vehicles have to cross through the traffic flow. Again, Mr. Allard suggested checking this out on October 2nd. Ms. Jacobs will contact Adams Supermarket to see if they are willing to donate lunches for the workers. Mr. Kolodziej has volunteered to set up the tent. Everything else is set. This news release will be placed on MPACT.
Discussion of letter sent by Ms. Taft to the Board of Selectmen in regard to funds for a Hazardous Waste Day (copy attached). Changes will need to be made in the wording of the Recycling Bulky Material Account to allow for these funds to be used for this purpose at the Annual Town Meeting. Request now for funds to be used from the “Gifts to the Town” Account until wording can be changed. Ms. Klick wanted to know why the wording couldn’t be changed at the upcoming Special and was informed that only articles that cannot wait until the Annual Meeting are placed on the Special. The Board of Selectmen will discuss this in their meeting of September 28th.
