MONSON BOARD OF HEALTH
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 2003
The regular meeting of the Monson Board of Health convened at 7:30 p.m. in the Board of Health meeting room at 110 Main Street. In attendance were Dr. Richard Smith, Jane Jacobs and Robert Bator. Susan Easton did not attend this meeting.
The meeting minutes of March 19, 2003 were accepted.
Mr. Bator stated he call the State Ethic’s Office and was told everything was confidential and that no information could be given out. Dr. Smith said he would give Mr. Allard a call to see if he has heard anything.
Dr. Smith stated he received a Bulk Day memo from Kathy stating that due to a conflict of previously scheduled events at Quarry Hill School, Bulky Day has been moved to May 31, 2003. Ms. Jacobs stated she has not been able to get in touch with BFI. The cost for the dumpster from East Coast Electronics’ is $650.00 and $585.00 for any containers that are replaced. It was agreed unanimously to have the dumpster dropped off on Friday and picked up on Monday in order to save money. Ms. Jacobs said Woloshchuk is available for $75.00 per hour. She hasn’t been able to get in touch with Erwyn Brown who took the lawnmowers for the last two Bulky Days, but P & F stated they would take the lawnmowers. This date is okay with the Collector’s Office as well. Mr. Bator said he has leaflets that can be handed out at
Bulky Day.
In regards to the Health Fair, Ms. Jacobs stated she never received the information from the woman in Ludlow, but will keep trying. Mr. Bator said he had information on the screenings from the contact person.
Dr. Smith said he and Ms. Jacobs attended the Finance Committee meeting last week and everything went fine. Hazardous Waste Day was discussed with the Finance Committee and will most likely not be held this year due to the shortage of funds.
Everything requiring signatures were signed.
Correspondence was looked over.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
