Open the Meeting: The meeting was called to order at 4:15pm.
Accept the Minutes: A motion was made by Michael and seconded by Allan to accept the minutes of December 12, 2011. The motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
- The Board reviewed the briefs that were submitted to the ATB concerning Give Them Sanctuary.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board reviewed and signed the Conflict of Interest Law Acknowledgment Form.
The Board voted and approved the following Warrants:
- 2012 Motor Vehicle Excise – Commitment 1 in the amount of $697,097.50
- 2011 Motor Vehicle Excise – Commitment 07 in the amount of $5,423.19
- 2011 Motor Vehicle Excise – Recommitment 06A in the amount of $136.25
The Board voted and approved the following Petition to Resolve the Levy:
- 2007 Motor Vehicle Excise Tax in the amount of $4,135.84
The Board voted and approved the following Motor Vehicle Abatements:
- 2011 Abatements in the amount of $723.56
The Board reviewed the letter that is being sent to residents with new homes regarding supplemental taxes.
Give Them Sanctuary – Michael motioned that the statutory exemption be tabled due to the pending ATB case. Allan seconded the motion, all were in favor.
The Board voted and approved the following Real Estate/CPA Exemptions:
- 8 – Clause 22 Veteran exemptions in the amount of $3,200.00/$94.78 CPA
- 1 – Clause 22E Veteran exemptions in the amount of $1,000.00/$30.00 CPA
- 1 – Clause 22A Veteran exemption in the amount of $600.00/$18.00 CPA
- 2 – Clause 41C Elderly exemption in the amount of $1,500.00/$95.01 CPA
The Board voted and denied the following Real Estate Exemptions:
- 1 – 41C Elderly exemption
The Board voted and approved the following Abatements:
- 22 Real Estate abatements in the amount of $14,011.89/CPA $340.71
The Board voted and denied the following Abatements:
The Board was updated on miscellaneous items.
The next meeting was scheduled for Monday February 27, 2012 at 4:15pm
ADJOURN: At 5:40pm, a motion was made by Allan and seconded by Michael to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
