Monday November 16, 2010

Members Absent: Chairman Russell Bressette Jr.

Open the Meeting: The meeting was called to order at 4:15pm.
Accept the Minutes: A motion was made by Allan and seconded by Craig to accept the minutes of October 18, 2010 minutes. The motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board voted and approved the following Motor Vehicle Abatements:
- 2010 Abatements in the amount of $1,250.12
- 2009 Abatements in the amount of $60.00
The Board reviewed the outcome of the recent ATB case.
The Board signed the forms from the 2011 revaluation.
The Board reviewed a parcel of land owned by a resident that had boundary discrepancies. The Board agreed that the plot plan should be submitted to Tighe and Bond along with the other map changes for this year. A new parcel will be created due to this change, belonging to the Catholic Church and will be looked into as to how it should be assessed.
The Board was updated on the office database. The principal assessor was asked to look into possibility of one database for assessment and tax purposes as a way to save on costs.
The Board discussed a request for tax exempt status on two properties. The Board instructed the principal assessor to invite the owner to the next meeting to discuss the property.
The Board was updated on miscellaneous items.
The next meeting was scheduled for Monday December 13, 2010 at 6:00pm
ADJOURN: At 4:48pm, a motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
