Monday May 17, 2010
Members Present: Chairman Russell Bressette Jr., Assessors Craig Benoit and Allan Curtis

Open the Meeting: The meeting was called to order at 11:30am.
Accept the Minutes: A motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to accept the April 15 and May 5, 2010 minutes. The motion passed unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board of Assessors met with a resident, Mr. Gerald Root, to discuss his property. The Board and Mr. Root reviewed several different Plans of Land, showing several plot changes that resulted in some discrepancies on the Monson Assessors maps. There were some frontage issues that were discussed as well as an issue with the positioning of the stream on the Monson map. Mr Root stated that he had correspondence with the Conservation Committee regarding his land back in 1994. Mr. Root stated that he would be submitting paperwork regarding his recalculation of the map for the Board to review. Chairman Russell Bressette asked Mr. Root to reference the plan of land that he uses when he does the recalculation. The Board will review this information when it has been submitted.
The Board voted and approved the following excise abatements:
- 2010 abatements in the amount of $2,252.22
- 2009 abatements in the amount of $179.38
- 2008 abatements in the amount of $116.67
The board reviewed the status of the ATB case that will be heard in Boston on May 8, 2010.
The board was updated on miscellaneous items.
The next meeting was scheduled for Thursday June 17, 2010 at 11:30am
ADJOURN: At 12:45pm, a motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
