Board of Assessors
Thursday, November 20, 2008

Open the Meeting: The meeting was called to order at 10:45 a.m.
Accept the Minutes: A motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to accept the November 6, 2008 minutes as written.
OLD BUSINESS:
ATB: Two ATB hearing’s scheduled for December 9, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. The assessors reconfirmed the Board’s original decision regarding 84 Town Farm Road. This property was rehabed but never exposed to the elements. This informal case will continue on to ATB. On the second case the assessors agreed to request the appraisal and information regarding who will be testifying at the formal ATB hearing by December 2nd, 2008 for property located at 26 Park Road.
NEW BUSINESS:
Excise: The board approved the 2008 Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise Abatementsin the amount of $333.12. The board also approved the 2008 Motor Vehicle & Trailer Excise Commitment 6 in the amount of $14,972.69.
Tax Classification Hearing: Information was reviewed for the upcoming tax classification hearing to be held jointly with the Board of Selectmen and Board of Assessors. The Selectmen will decide on the following: one tax rate or a split tax rate, a small residential exemption and a small commercial exemption. Due to Diane’s time commitments, the assessors review the information and will follow up with Diane on any questions or concerns regarding the presentation. No hearing date has been set as of yet but expected soon.

ADJOURN: At 11:22 a.m, a motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to adjourn. Motion passed unanimously.
