Members Present: Chairman Russell Bressette Jr., Assessors Craig Benoit and Allan E. Curtis
Members Absent:

Open the Meeting: The meeting was called to order at 10:30 am
Accept the Minutes: A motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to accept the April 9th minutes as written. A second motion was made by Allan and seconded by Craig to accept the April 30th minutes as written.
OLD BUSINESS:
ATB: The board after careful consideration was willing to settle prior to ATB with Hatch’s using the FY 2008 land methodology on secondary lots. A motion was made by Craig and seconded by Allan to settle to no less than $162,600. The Hatch’s agreed to withdraw their ATB via telephone. Formal paperwork will be submitted to the ATB by the Hatch’s.
NEW BUSINESS:
Board Re-organization: A motion was made by Allan and seconded by Craig to nominate Russell to be chairman of the board. Russell accepted the nomination.
Excise: The board approved 2008 Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise Abatements in the amount of $409.37; 2007 Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise Abatements in the amount of $32.50.
Office Updates: The tax map project will be completed and sent on to Tighe Bond for the new maps. Guidelines for Chapterland applicants are ready for review. A chapterland seminar will be planned prior to the chapterland application deadline. Letters were mailed to inform all taxpayers of parcels that were combined. Letters were sent requesting appointments for all properties with current building permits that had interior changes or new construction. Preliminary sales analysis indicates sales are still within the acceptable guidelines as mandates by the DOR.

NEXT MEETING: The next meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, June 12, 2008 @ 10:30 am.
ADJOURN: At 11:55 a.m, a motion was made by Craig and seconded by Craig to adjourn. Motion passed unanimously.
