Town of Monson
Board of Assessors
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
Meeting convened at 4:00 p.m.
In attendance:  Russell Bressette, Chairman

The board reviewed and approved the minutes from the August 22 and August 29, 2007 meetings.  The board also approved as amended the minutes from the executive session held August 29, 2007.

The members review and signed 2007 Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise Abatements in the amount of $256.89 and the 2006 Motor Vehicle and Trailer Excise Abatements in the amount of $245.63.  At the last meeting the board voted unanimously to issue the supplemental tax bill in accordance with the information provided by the Bureau of Municipal Finance Law Department.
Three Warrants to the Collector to Collect Supplemental Taxes were signed as follows: FY 2007 Real Estate Supplemental in the amount of $10,986.32; FY 2007 Condo Supplemental in the amount of $1,648.72; FY 2007 Parcel Split Supplemental in the amount of $332.14.  

The board discussed the new Chapterland laws.  There are several seminars coming up to that will be covering all the new legislation that several members will be attending.  This office will be reviewing the changes and will issue a written statement to all taxpayers currently in one of the Chapterland programs detailing any changes or office procedures that could change as a result of the new laws.
