Meeting convened at 3:30 p.m.

The minutes from the April 11, 2007 meeting was approved as amended.
The board approved two packets of 2007 Motor Vehicle and Trailer excise abatements in the amounts of $2,997.42 collectively. The Board also certified $62,182.61 in available surplus to the Board of Selectmen. A conveyance tax warrant & certificate for property at 139 Cote Road was update to reflect the conveyance tax of $1,500 on the land assessed under 61B and also signed a partial lien release for this same property. Another Chapterland property owner decided to not continue in the program and requested a rollback tax. The Board signed the rollback tax in the amount of $1,812.37 along with the partial lien release and Warrant to the Collector. On both of these properties the Town decided not to exercise their option to purchase.
The Board reviewed the abatement application for 11 Highland Ave and approved a partial abatement under Chapter 59 Section 2D (pro-rata) in the amount of $369.25.
Diane updated the board of the progress of hiring a new clerk. The office received 60 applications and is in the process of reviewing and setting up interviews. There will be a first round interview process with the top three candidates to be interviewed by the board members.
Diane updated the board members on the preliminary meetings with DOR for our upcoming revaluation. DOR has recommended having 3 neighborhoods within the town each having their own site indexes. Diane will work on this and keep the board abreast of all progress. After reviewing the 2006 sales the land and building schedules are in compliance with the DOR guidelines.
The board has agreed that any exempt property that has not submitted their 3ABC as of yet will receive by certified mail a notice requesting their tax-exempt entity comply with the filing or being subject to taxation for FY 08.
The board reviewed all correspondence since the last meeting.
