Meeting convened at 3:30 p.m.

The minutes from the February 20, 2007 meeting was approved.
The board members discussed the Longview abatements and will visit each property next Wednesday, March 14, 2007 between 3:30 and 4:30. The office staff will call the four applicants to inform them of our visit for an abatement inspection.
The board members met with the Billy Pope of 134 Upper Palmer Road. The resident explained he felt the land due to the nature of the topography and the time on the open market was over valued. He paid $15,000 for the lot with over $30,000 of excavation (discounted price due to family rate) because of all the bedrock, although no blasting was necessary. The assessors will visit the site and will address this abatement application at their next meeting.
The board member signed the Commercial Industrial contract that the town has entered into with Bishop & Associates. The board also agreed to send a letter to CLT to inform this software vendor of the town discontinuing use of this software and vendor effective June 30, 2007. The board approved and signed the 2006 & 2007 Motor Vehicle abatement applications as well as one Statutory Veterans exemption. The member also reviewed twelve abatement applications. Ten were approved and two were denied. The remaining abatement applications were tabled until March 14, 2007.
An Agreement to Subordination the Chapter 61B lien currently in place was signed. Although this taxpayer has not continued to apply or receive the benefits for the program the lien remains intact for a period of ten years to ensure the town of any potential rollback if the land is converted to or sold for any other use. This Subordination Agreement was requested due to refinancing their home.
All other correspondence since the last meeting was reviewed.
