Warrant Committee August 25, 2010
Seventh Meeting

Absent: J Folcarelli, R Pathak, K Chase, D Turner, H Bell, J Wilson
Reserve Fund Balance: $ 348,650
The Chair called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM in the Carol Blute Conference Room.
On a motion made by Member Tougias and seconded by Member Ahonen, the Warrant Committee approved the minutes of August 18, 2010 by a vote of 4-0-4.
The Chair recognized Building Inspector Jay Beaulieu, Conservation Services Group Representative Caitriona Cooke, and Energy Resources Solutions Representative, Kerry Hewitt to discuss Article 1 for the Special Town Meeting.
Following a presentation from Ms Cooke, and extended discussion with the parties present, the committee, on a motion by Member Walker and seconded by Member Hurley, voted 8-0-0 to recommend that the Town vote to accept Appendix 120.AA of the Massachusetts Building Code, 780 CMR, the “Stretch Energy Code”, including amendments or modifications thereto, regulating the design and construction of buildings for the effective use of energy.
On a motion made by Member Hurley and seconded by Member Ahonen, the Warrant Committee voted unanimously to adjourn at 9:30 PM.
Reserve Fund Balance: $ 348,650
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 1st at 7:30 in the Carol Blute Conference Room.
